One man’s discard can be another man’s creed. Robert Woodruff, who became president of Coca-Cola in 1923, was perfectly happy selling “sugared water,” and stated that before he died that he wanted every man, women and child on earth to have tasted Coca Cola. When they ran the classic 1970s ad, “I’d like to buy the world a Coke,” it wasn’t just some cute ad campaign dreamed up by the folks on Madison Avenue. They actually meant it and had been living the creed for fifty years or more.

Create a creed and live by it!
